Anti Cheating measures are crucial to uphold the credibility of candidates' assessments. To address this, we’ve pioneered a state-of-the-art suite, incorporating Cheating Detection, Cheating Prevention, and Plagiarism Detection, including ChatGPT copy detection, to deliver the most advanced features available on the market to ensure accurate candidate evaluation.

This article will provide an in-depth explanation of the Proctoring Features offered by Canditech, as well as how candidates are alerted to any detected suspicious behaviors you chose to track during their assessments.

Proctoring Customizations

We provide the following proctoring measures to protect our clients and the integrity of the assessments:

  1. Block candidates from copying assessment content - Enabling this feature will block candidates from copying questions’ content during assessments, reducing the possibility of questions being leaked on the internet.

  2. External Source Paste Tracking - Enabling this feature will allow you to monitor and detect content pasted from external sources, including from ChatGPT. We recommend enabling this to capture any suspicious behavior during the assessment.

  3. Tab Change Tracking - Enabling this feature will allow you to track tab changes during the candidates’ assessment. We recommend enabling this to capture any suspicious behavior during the assessment.

  4. Multiple Locations Tracking - Enabling this feature will notify you when assessments are completed from various locations and devices.

  5. Webcam Snapshots - Enabling this feature will allow the platform to take periodic snapshots of the candidate during their assessment.

To manage proctoring customizations for all assessments, access the “Proctoring” tab of your account settings. To manage proctoring customizations for a specific assessment, access the “Proctoring” tab of the relevant assessment.

Candidate notifications during assessments

In accordance with the proctoring measures enabled above, candidates will also be notified that the platform detected these specific behaviors during their assessments.

  • Paste Detected - Candidates will be notified that their attempt to paste content from an external source was detected. Candidates can choose to undo their paste, or continue to paste with the acknowledgement that their hiring team will be notified.

  • Tab Switch Detected - Candidates will be notified that their attempt to switch tabs/windows was detected and that the hiring team will be notified of this action.
