Canditech allows users the freedom to edit every aspect of their assessment, including content, timing, scoring, etc.
Once you have created an assessment or added in a pre-made assessment to your account, you can begin to customize.
To access and edit your assessment, click on the assessment you’d like to edit. The assessment will open.
Here, you can view and manage your Sections.
A Section is a set of Questions focusing on a specific topic. Each Assessment contains at least one Section and each Section contains at least one Question.
Canditech provides a library of pre-made Sections that contain various Questions. You can use these pre-made Sections and adjust them for your needs, or create new Sections from scratch.
When clicking on a Section, you will be able to view and edit its questions in the lower area.
For more information on the types of Questions, click here.
Renaming a Section
To rename a Section, click directly on its title.
Input the Section name and click Save.
Scoring your Sections
To add a score to any of your Sections, click on "Points" in the upper right hand corner of the Section.
Here, you can modify the scores of each Section and Question based on importance. You can also choose for scores to be allocated equally.
Pre-made library sections and templates will be scored by default based on our industry expert’s discretion. Of course, these scores are totally customizable.
When you’re finished adding scores, click Save in the bottom right corner.
Timing your Sections
To set the time of any of your Sections, click on the "Minutes" box in the upper right hand corner of the Section.
Here, you can modify the time of each Section based on importance and difficulty.
Pre-made library sections and templates will be timed by default based on our industry expert’s discretion. Of course, these time limits are totally customizable.
If you’d like to give candidates unlimited time for a specific Section, or for the entire assessment, you can simply enter "0" in the "Minutes" field for that section. If the assessment has multiple sections, setting each one to "0" will effectively make the whole assessment untimed.
To set an assessment that spans multiple days, convert the desired number of days into minutes (for example, 3 days = 4320 minutes) and allocate that time across sections however you'd like.
When you're finished setting your time, click Save in the bottom right corner.
Note: The time limit you set here refers to how long candidates have to complete each section once they begin. To set an expiration date for when the assessment must be started by, access the assessment's Advanced Features tab.
Deleting a Section
To delete a section from your assessment, hover over the section you want to remove. A trash bin icon will appear on the right side. Click to delete the section.
