Integrate Canditech with Greenhouse.

Canditech allows companies to evaluate candidates for any position (developers, analysts, marketers, sales, customer success, and so on) and dramatically reduce chances of bad hire, by creating tailor-made job simulation tests, which are the best predictor for job suitability.

Canditech's unique holistic approach empowers recruiters to objectively evaluate technical skills (code, SQL, Excel, visualization, and so on) alongside soft-skills (using video questions) and give candidates a fair chance to showcase their talent in their convenient time and place while providing amazing experience.

Greenhouse Recruiting's integration with Canditech allows you to seamlessly add Canditech’s assessment to a job's interview plan. In this article, we will cover how to:


Enable the Canditech integration

To start, navigate to Canditech Platform > Settings > Integrations.

Note: The Settings page is only accessible to admin users.

Open the Greenhouse drop-down and press "Generate key".

Your API key will be generated and saved.

Once you have received your API key, click here to open a ticket with the Greenhouse Support team.

Note: Do not send the API key in this initial email.

The Greenhouse Support team will respond with a SendSafely link for you to enter your API key. A notification is sent to the Greenhouse Support team after you have entered your API key, and they will email you to confirm your API key has been set up in your account and your integration is enabled.

Note: To verify your identity, the Greenhouse Support team might request you provide a Support Verification Code before adding the API key to your organization's account.

Add Canditech stage to job's interview plan

Once the Canditech integration is enabled for your organization, you can add the Canditech assessment as an interview stage.

To do this for an existing job, navigate to a job (All Jobs > job) and click Job Setup from the job navigation bar. From the Job Setup page, click Interview Plan on the left panel.

Click Add stage at the top right of the page.

From the Add Stage dialog box, select the Canditech stage. When finished, click Add at the bottom of the dialog box to add the stage to the job's interview plan.

Configure the Canditech stage

Once the stage has been added to the job's interview plan, click Edit Take Home Test. Use the provided drop-down menu to choose assessments that you set up previously in Canditech.

Select the appropriate assessment and assign at least one Greenhouse Recruiting user to grade/review submitted assessments. When finished, click Save.

Note: Keep in mind all configuration of the assessment itself, as well as the email template, must be done in Canditech.

Send and review the test

When candidates are moved into the Canditech interview stage, Greenhouse Recruiting displays a Send Test link. Click this link to send the test to a candidate.

Note: When you send a test from Greenhouse Recruiting, the interview instructions are actually sent by Canditech.

The status of the sent assessment is viewable in Greenhouse Recruiting.

Once the candidate has submitted their test, the Interview Kit contains a link to view the submitted test on Canditech.

After you click the Interview Kit on the candidate’s profile, you're directed to a page where the URL is available to view the test results on Canditech.
