AFAS Software's integration with Canditech allows you to automatically send skills assessments to candidates based on their recruitment stage in the hiring process and sync their results directly to AFAS Software. In this article, we will cover how to:
How Do You Set Up the AFAS Software Integration?
Note: Admin access to both Canditech and AFAS Software is required to configure the integration.
In your Canditech account, navigate to Settings → Integrations and locate AFAS Software.
If the integration displays "Contact Us", click to request access. Once enabled by our team, the option will change to CONNECT.
Click CONNECT and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the setup. For additional guidance, refer to:
Once the setup is complete, Canditech will display a "Successfully established connection with ATS" confirmation message.
How Do You Attach an Assessment to a Recruitment Stage?
On the connected AFAS Software integration card, click Attach Assessment to Recruitment Stage.
Select the Vacancy you want to configure.
Choose the Recruitment Stage that should trigger the assessment invitation.
Select the Canditech Assessment you want candidates to receive when they reach that recruitment stage.
Click Save to complete the setup.
Repeat these steps for any additional vacancies or recruitment stages you want to configure.
Notes:
Only Canditech assessments can be attached to a recruitment stage. One-Way Interviews, Chatbots, and Live Interviews are not supported.
What Happens When a Candidate Reaches the Recruitment Stage?
When a candidate reaches the configured recruitment stage in AFAS Software, Canditech automatically sends them an assessment invitation using the assessment's Invite message.
Notes:
Existing Candidates: Candidates who were already in the recruitment stage before the assessment was attached will not receive an invitation.
Previous Assessments: If a candidate completed the same assessment within the past 90 days, they will not be invited again. Instead, their existing results will automatically be linked to the new application.
Where Can You View Assessment Results in AFAS Software?
Canditech automatically syncs assessment results directly to each candidate's application in AFAS Software.
Each Assessment Result includes:
Assessment Name: The name of the assigned Canditech assessment.
Status: Invited, Completed, or Cancelled (if the candidate abandoned the assessment).
Score & Verdict: The candidate's assessment score and pass/fail decision.
Full Report: A direct link to the candidate's detailed results in Canditech (login required).
Automatic Updates: The assessment result is created when the invitation is sent and automatically updated when the candidate completes the assessment or your team makes changes, such as manually scoring questions, adding comments, or setting a pass/fail verdict.
How Can You Automatically Move Candidates Between Recruitment Stages in AFAS Software?
Canditech supports ATS rules that automatically move candidates between recruitment stages in AFAS Software based on their assessment results. These rules are configured by our team according to your hiring workflow and specific conditions.
For example, you can automatically:
Move candidates who pass an assessment to the next interview recruitment stage.
Move candidates who fail an assessment to a rejection recruitment stage.
Move candidates who abandon an assessment to a follow-up recruitment stage.
ATS rules can be configured based on:
Verdict: Whether the candidate passed or failed the assessment.
Assessment Status: Whether the assessment was completed or cancelled (abandoned).
Assessment: A specific assessment or multiple assessments matching a naming pattern.
Current Recruitment Stage: The candidate's current recruitment stage in AFAS Software.
Notes:
ATS rules are automatically evaluated whenever Canditech updates a candidate's assessment result, moving candidates to the appropriate recruitment stage when the configured conditions are met.

How Do You Remove an Assessment from a Recruitment Stage?
On the connected AFAS Software integration card, click REMOVE ASSESSMENT FROM RECRUITMENT STAGE.
Locate the relevant Vacancy and Recruitment Stage, then click Remove from Recruitment Stage.
Note: Removing an assessment prevents future candidates from receiving automatic invitations when they reach that recruitment stage. Candidates who have already been invited will retain access to their assessments.
How Do You Disconnect AFAS Software?
In your Canditech account, navigate to Settings → Integrations and expand the AFAS Software integration card.
Click DISCONNECT, then confirm by selecting Disconnect.
Note: Disconnecting the integration will not remove your existing assessment-to-recruitment stage configurations. These will be automatically restored if you reconnect AFAS Software in the future.
